Karen's watercolor drawings of floral scenes are presented in the "purist approach" where the white in the drawing is the background color of the paper. Karen, who taught art for over 25 years at the University of St. Francis in Joliet and who has been drawing since the age of 6, looks for "patterns and values" as well as beauty as a structure for her works.
