Louis Icart Ballerina in the Wings

His etchings epitomize the depiction of women during the art deco period.
He created in excess of 500 etchings using a combination techniques including
etchings and dry point with hand coloring as characterized in the book
"Buying Works by Icart." He created full sized etchings, erotic illustrated books,
beautiful pastel enhanced lithographs, menu covers, posters, postcards, advertising
prints, and oils on canvas.

There are no scratches, foxing, rips, or pinholes to the sheet. There is a short handling tear at the top margin that has been repaired. There is minor surface soiling. There is good hand coloring throughout. The paper has its original patina because it has not been conserved.
The signature (lr) is strong. The notation "No. 72/100" appears in the (ll).
This is a strong impression with a good image.
Overall the image is an A and the sheet an A.
