Louis Icart Blue Butterflies
His etchings epitomize the depiction of women during the art deco period.
He created in excess of 500 etchings using a combination techniques including
etchings and dry point with hand coloring as characterized in the book
"Buying Works by Icart." He created full sized etchings, erotic illustrated books,
beautiful pastel enhanced lithographs, menu covers, posters, postcards, advertising
prints, and oils on canvas.

The paper is heavy wove. The etching has been professionally conserved, and is in fine condition.
There is no light toning or matte burn. There are no scratches, foxing, or rips to the paper.
The signature in crayon (lr) is strong. The EM blindstamp (lc) is with the notation "296" (lr).
The copyright (ur) reads "F H Bresler Co. Milwaukee USA," and the publisher’s notation (ul) reads "Publie par l’Estampe Moderne, 14 rue de Richelieu, Paris 1922."
There is good hand coloring to the throughout. Overall this is a good impression.
Overall the image an A and the sheet an A-.
