Louis Icart On the Green
His etchings epitomize the depiction of women during the art deco period.
He created in excess of 500 etchings using a combination techniques including
etchings and dry point with hand coloring as characterized in the book
"Buying Works by Icart." He created full sized etchings, erotic illustrated books,
beautiful pastel enhanced lithographs, menu covers, posters, postcards, advertising
prints, and oils on canvas.

The paper is very heavy wove with no watermark. The etching has been professionally conserved, and there is no toning to the image.
There are no rips, acid burn, pinholes, or tears. There is a small area of discoloration at the top edge of the top margin.
The signature in crayon is strong (lr); with the LI blindstamp (ll). The Gravuere Garantie Originale stamp appears in the (ll) corner of the sheet.
The copyright (ul) reads "Copyright 1925 by Graveurs Modernes 194 Rue de Rivoli, Paris." and is clear and strong.
The hand coloring is very good.
