Louis Icart She Who Works

His etchings epitomize the depiction of women during the art deco period.
He created in excess of 500 etchings using a combination techniques including
etchings and dry point with hand coloring as characterized in the book
"Buying Works by Icart." He created full sized etchings, erotic illustrated books,
beautiful pastel enhanced lithographs, menu covers, posters, postcards, advertising
prints, and oils on canvas.

The paper is heavy wove with a partial BFK RIVES watermark. The sheet is full. The etching has not been conserved, is not and has never been laid down, nor has it had an overmatte adhered.
The image is clean with good hand coloring. The sheet and image are very clean with no foxing, tears, rips, scratches, or pinholes. The upper right corner has a minor handling crease.
The signature (lr) is very strong, together with the notation "203/250" (ll).
Overall this is a very good impression.
