Louis Icart Sweet Caress
His etchings epitomize the depiction of women during the art deco period.
He created in excess of 500 etchings using a combination techniques including
etchings and dry point with hand coloring as characterized in the book
"Buying Works by Icart." He created full sized etchings, erotic illustrated books,
beautiful pastel enhanced lithographs, menu covers, posters, postcards, advertising
prints, and oils on canvas.

The paper is heavy wove. The sheet has wide margins. The etching has been professionally conserved and is not laid down,
There is no foxing, rips, tears, scratches or other damage to the image or sheet. There are pencil notations on the verso. There are two registration pinholes at the top and bottom of the image as should be the case with this etching.
The signature (lr) is strong, the notation "201" appears in the (ll).
The copyright (ul) reads "Copyright 1924 by les Graveurs Moderne 194 rue de Rivoli Paris."
There is very strong coloring and a rich burr.
Overall the image is an A+ and the sheet an A.
