For sale is the Salvador Dali Hamlet suite.  It consists of 10 “engravings.”  Les Heures Claires published the suite.  The sheets have full margins.  The text and engravings are enclosed in an inner folder for each piece of art.  They are loose as issued.  Dali signed the prints in pencil in the lower right.  Numbers appear in the lower left.  Included with this set is the portfolio case, the title, a list of works in English and French, plus the artwork. with a size of 15 x 11 1/4 in on 22 1/8 x 15 7/8 in.  This is from the edition of 145 on Arches published by , Paris. Field believes the artwork maybe lithographs. Sold as the complete portfolio. The portfolio is in a red slip case.  Each print has elaborate gold dust which is very striking.  There is a Dali blindstamp (shown enhanced) in the lower left.

Dalí is famous for his role in Surrealism. He was also a seminal example of celebrity showmanship. Subsequently the cult of personality is a phenomenon that dominates popular culture today. Dali was always a colorful and flamboyant presence. This is reflected by his signature cape, wide-eyed expression and trademark upturned waxed mustache. Dalí was a master of self-promotion and spectacle.
