Salvador Dali Imagination and Objects of the Future – 1975

The Salvador Dali Imagination and Objects of the Future suite has two versions.  The regular version of the suite consists of 10 lithographs with engraving. Five of them are with collage. Note, that Field indicates there are 6 with collage, but only identifies 5. There are actually only 5 with collage.  The collage  was applied by hand at Chicago Serigraphic Workshop. This suite is shown below.

The second suite is one of 25 EAs with text in English.  This suite contains an extra print titled “Dalinean Prophecy.” Click here to see this entire suite. Available!!!

Additional Information

Merrill Chase, Chicago/Alan Rich, New York published the regular suite in 1975. There is an introductory text of 6 pages.  The cover page  is shown below  There is also a table of contents, publisher’s preface, artist’s prologue, and observations of the future by some famous people.   Each lithograph comes in a chemise with text and the Merrill Chase watermark. The text (this helps you figure out what you are looking at) is in English and the images below illustrate what comes with the regular version of the suite. The image size is 28 1/2″ x 21″.  The full sheet is 30 3/4″ x 27″. The entire suite is contained in a wooden box with a facsimile signature.  The wooden box is an important aspect of this suite.  There are suites available without the wooden box.  I would avoid them.

The total tirage is 600.

The Field catalogue number is 75-11.  The Lopsinger catalogue numbers are 822 – 831.  We guarantee the authenticity of this suite.
