Salvador Dali L’aventure medicale – 1980
The Salvador Dali L’aventure medicale is a suite of two lithographs. Martin Lawrence issued the suite. It comes in a black portfolio together with one page of text and one full sized justification page. The set was published by Levine and Levine. The first two bear the Copyright 1980 blindstamp. The publishers issued the Chemist separately from the suite of two. However, it also bears a blindstamp. The edition size is 1195. The lithographs are 22 3/4″ x 17″. Each lithograph is from the edition of 75 artist proofs on japon. Dali signed the lithographs. The tirage appears in the lower left. The lithographs have never been framed and are in fine condition. The are authentic.

Dalí was known for his role in Surrealism. He was also a seminal example of celebrity showmanship. Subsequently the cult of personality is a phenomenon that dominates popular culture today. Dali was always a colorful and flamboyant presence. This is reflected by his signature cape, wide-eyed expression and trademark upturned waxed mustache. Dalí was a master of self-promotion and spectacle.
