Louis Icart Full Breasts is a single etching from the illustrated book La Vie des Seins. Icart is the author of the book. He uses the name Docteur Jacobus instead of Icart. Icart illustrated the book. The title literally translates to Breast Life. The book illustrates various poses of woman’s breasts.
The book was published in 1945 with an edition of 196 with text in French. The page size with no borders is 8 1/2 x 10.”
In general, Icart did not sign his bookplates. However, unscrupulous dealers in the U.S. signed the bookplates. There are only a few examples where Icart actually signed the book plate. La Vie des Seins is one of the books. However, he only signed the artist proof editions of the book.
